Thanks for sharing John. This looks like the Steelton Switch with a cut of ballast cars on the head end and taconite concentrate for the C&NW at South Itasca trailing. The North Western moved quite a bit of concentrate from the Missabe in the early 1990s. You can sure tell these are low side "regulars" with friction bearing trucks given the brake shoe smoke coming down the 1.8% grade.
