The tower as well as the buildings in the background are gone. Time marches on. Nice shot of a movement that is seen maybe once a week now. The train has just came from the Raleigh Yard down Piney Creek.

This pic was taken around the time I was born. Anyway, the platform the Prince station is gone as well as the cantilever signal bridge in the background. If Stretcher's Neck tunnel was double tracked, it isn't today.
And even today, CSX doesn't bring coal down the Piney Creek from Beckley to Prince. Things have indeed changed over the past 40 years.
