A classic composition - nicely captured, Dave. I'm beyond astounded that this is legal and approved by the government - I'm all for it, but it looks like what was typical in the 1800's and early 1900's. Before the government decided to avoid any and every single possible danger that one could imagine. Then again, wow - there is not much room for error here.

When the track was built there was probably more ground here, before erosion over the many years of weather and tourists walking around. This is 40 pound rail, standard gauge.

Very nice, but I agree on moving the buffer back maybe... 10 meters!
