It is interesting how this export RS3 differs from domestic production. At first glance, it looks like an RS2, because there is no battery box on the walkway behind the cab. But note the the two hood doors behind the cab, are short, like an RS3 with that battery box, and not full-height like the RS2's. Also, the fuel tank is below the frame, as on the RS3, and not under the cab floor, in RS2 fashion, so there is no fuel filler on the cab side. These characteristics are also on similar units exported to Portugal. By the way, this particular locomotive has dynamic brakes, marked by the small grids atop the short hood directly over the number indicator, and the row of louvers on the hood to the left of the two short doors.
