When I was a kid back in the 80s and early 90s, my dad ran the Pittsburgh marathon a couple times. I tagged along and can remember getting up early in the morning and going out with my parents for a quick breakfast before the race. It was a weekend morning, the light was dim, and the streets were still sleepy. Being a kid from the country, it felt really exciting--the buildings, the light, the chill in the air, the city still waking up from the night. This photo, with the fog and the light, and the train crawling along the river, barely visible with its headlights, brings that feeling back. Thanks!
