Yesterday, I was able to point out a Budd-built Pioneer III car in Brazil, as shown in photo 234326. This SEPTA car illustrates how the Pioneer III design was utilized in the United States, as m.u. cars built for the Pennsylvania Railroad and the Reading Company. Although this particular car is shown in use on a former Reading service, the road number pegs it as an original Pennsy purchase.
