Nice catch, thanks for the early heads up! Kudos to R.J.Corman for embracing steam. I'd like to have seen a native of the midwest restored to operation but can't complain when a 2-10-2 is under steam. Excellent job on the new livery - fits very well with Corman's look. Wouldn't have looked right if it was Americanized or fashioned after a mid-west engine. Thumbs up!

Oh ... They renumbered it :(

Looks almost like she's ready to couple up to the Freedom Train. Those red wheels gotta go, though. I wonder if RJ Corman will put these babies to work hauling freight..? At $12K or more for a tank of diesel fuel, it's probably crossed their minds.

The stripe looks horrifying...really, this guy has no artistic taste...and the bell needs to go as well. Chinese QJ's have air horns, not bells The driving wheel are supposed to be painted red - all Chinese driving wheels on steam locomotives are painted that way The tender also needs another coat of black to go over the stripe.

Beautiful paint, although not artistically nice, but gleaming.

Couldn't disagree with you more Mitch, and I have to agree with some of the critical analysis of the engine. This thing looks like A Steam engine straight out of the circus. The re-numbering and shameless ploy of the railroad on the front of the engine looks horrible.... On a plus side they have taken off the elephant ears that looks like a ghetto garage door from West Philly, but the rest of the engine looks like a "Chinese Red Dragon" threw up on it, redo please.... redo.... Take a note from the former Chinese Engine 142, get rid of the red... substitute some Graphite in so my stomach doesn't turn when I have to look at it.... Right now this thing looks about as bad as the 2100

Americans are lucky to have a chance to enjoy this QJ steam locomotive. When I was a little boy , I saw QJ every day. But now QJ can only been seen in locomotive museum.

I suppose when you whiners buy the company you can determine how to paint its equipment.
