A lightning-striped gem from the past! Two of this NYC-only type were re-engined with EMD 12-567 prime movers at the Collingwood, OH shops and actually made it all the way to Penn Central. I saw one of those re-engined units, as a NYC locomotive in Chicago, at La Salle Street Station, in the early sixties, and both, in PC markings working the ex-PRR 30th St. Station coach yard in Philadelphia, after the merger.
