Has anyone noticed the serious track problem in this photo???

No Andy... there's no indication of track problems. The first plate indicate the yard's name abbreviature, and the numbers corresponding to the tracks (ZKE means "Canguera"). The "AMV Manual" indicates that the switches are not motorized, so they are manually operated.

In the UK this would fall foul of the regulation of railways act of 1889 that states that,amongst a lot of other things, all points must be locked with the signals.
