Nice shot! However, I think you meant to put GE D9-40CW (Dash 9-40CW). Norfolk southern's Dash 8s were not built in wide cab. When NS acquired some of Conrail they did paint some of Conrail's Dash 8-40CWs to their B&W paint scheme. However you'll notice that most of Norfolk Southern's Dash 9's are numbered from 8889 to 9978. This is how you know this isn't a Dash 8.
