Glad you did! I wish I had been a few years older to catch some Chessie. I remember being so excited to see a Geep in the mid-90s on Sand Patch; we have some pictures somewhere don't know how good they are. And aren't you glad you skipped now!

Yea I remember doing that a few times myself. This shot reminds me of when I was just a kid running around Brunswick watching all of the Chessie motors, thanks for sharing!

Ahh theres just nothing like a Chessie with all forward Nathan K5LA placed where all horns should be placed on todays locomotives. Thanks for bringin back the memories Wade. I remember seeing Chessie all the time as a kid and thru high school and quite a few years beyond HS. For those that might be interested in what the older K5LA's on Chessie sounded like before the Nathan horn tuning went out of wack around 1999 and later visit a clip of my Chessie horn in action on the WMSR in June 2007 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OsZ3rhiy2ho

Your remarks on this photo remind me of the time when I was a senior at Riverside High School in Painesville Township, Ohio, I drove to school and when I parked, an NS train was parked behind the school. Make a long story short, after visiting with the crew, instead of heading to class, I ended up staying trackside all day viewing NS trains.

Trains'll do that to ya, guys. Just something about 'em. They're cool!
