I got to operate the throttle on one at the Northville, MI siding, summer of 1967, at 13. Wish I had photos like this, but now that you've provided I have something VERY close to my memories! Those days of the crew allowing young teenage railfans up into the cab are sadly long gone. Kidz these days only get to sit behind computer screens under "1984" Cheney-Bush anti-terrorism laws designed keep us all under the thumb of Big Brother.
