Wow, cool shot Gary.

I'll second Ray's comment - wow! Didn't know such scenes existed. Brings new meaning to the term Life-Like.

I like this photo a lot, no railheads showing making it look like its just driving down the street, it also looks like it is going to hit the power lines, and the dangling ditch light is an uncommon touch, thanks for posting.

Imagine a drunk coming out of that bar and suddenly sees this coming out of the snowcovered woods at him! A New Year's resolution to sobriety perhaps? Nice shot Gary.

Great Shot Gary. This is one of my favorite jobs. Too bad for the ditch light or this would make an awesome shot for the CSX Calendar.

Great picture. My guess is you were staying warm in the bar and ran out just long enough to get the picture.

What a great catch! Congratulations! There is a lot in this picture. It makes me wish to visit norheastern USA in winter one day.

Yes, very nice with all the elements. The Christmas wreaths, the bar sign, snowblower on the sidewalk, etc. Thx.

Street shot with snow and Christmas on the last day of 2007 this is perfect. The ditch light can be fixed with PS. Thank you Gary.

Wow, nice shot Gary.

Yes - a collision with the power lines - weighed down with snow and ice - looks inevitable. The inivisible rails give the shot a dream-like quality, as does what appears to be a lawn mower just outside the far house! Superb stuff.

I thought your other shot from this location was fantastic, but after seeing this one, it's easy to choose the winner. A street-running shot doesn't get much better than this. Excellent capture, Gary, and congrats on the POTW. Definitely gets a PCA vote as well.

The local must have been bucking some pretty heavy wet stuff to have the ditchlight snap off the mount like that .

Beautiful! Of course, one of the best shot of the net. Good job Gary.

What a location! Beautiful shot Gary. CSX Calendar photo, publisher will "fix up" the ditchlight, no problem. Congratulations on this!

Really Cool Photo Gary! Kind'a like a real Polar Express...A train coming down a snow covered street with no visible rails of support.

Fascinated and spectacular shot! I think that train might not run on the rail because snow cover the rail.

I've seen that engine in Lansdale before! Great winter-scene.
