Nate, your Dad is facing west, Burdick St. is the crossing in the foreground. Oh how well I remember the short cant crossing protection apparatus here and at Rose St., just beyond the depot. The train is eastbound, perhaps the Wolverine? The building and tracks to the right have been removed, today Kalamazoo City buses are serviced in a building separated from the main by greenspace. The streetlamp on the left has been replaced by modern lights that retained the old style look when the city restored the depot back in the '80s, still in use today by Amtrak and buses. Thanks for uploading these Kzoo classics.
