I saw this engine roll through Colorado Springs, CO one night, and I didn't have my camera either. Fortunetly you were able to get a pic of her a couple of days later, thanks for posting.

I've heard it called barf bonnet and vomit bonnet but I like it too. Great catch!

Great color scheme for the Holidays!! I agree, I like the way it looks...and its clean.

Nice catch, ugly as heck but nice catch:)
Ugly to most, but it sure beats any version of that abominable orange that BNSF can come up with.
I also like this paint job. It Reminds me of Something a model railroader might put on his own units. Such as "Kansas City & Santa Fe Northern."
Hey, at least somebody had the decency to fix the paint. Part of the "Northern" had been burned off, and you can see the colors don't quite match.
It's nice to see that the railroad's whole name is spelled out, and not just a group of officially-meaningless initials.
I think its a great locomotive. I love the paint scheme. One of my favorites. Great shot too. Idk why everyone thinks its so ugly.
One thing for sure, the BNSF likes to change the paint jobs often. This one is not so ugly...a great railroad!
