Very interesting photo Andrew, there is an old Southern Railway O line, that runs from Statesville NC to Mooresville NC, not far from where I live. The line has been abandoned for over 30 years now, the tracks are still there, but most of the ROW is grew up though, there is also a huge trestle, south of Statesville that my friends and I have been meaning to go out and walk. I love seeing photos like this, and like the ones of the bridge you recently took. Thanks for sharing.

Nice shot. Would be a lot nicer if there were a NJ Transit PL42 coming down that stretch though! Someday...
