Posted by Nscalemike on October 16, 2007  Very interesting shot, but why was or is this train called a "Screamer"? Posted by Charles Freericks on October 16, 2007  The F40PH was called a screamer because of the high pitched whine they made while idling in order to keep their HEP going.
