Great detail shot! I've never seen a switch with labels; it probably helps crews out a lot. BNSF has a similar style switchstand. The base is identical, except the actual lever is just a bar, not a nice handle. I came across an abandoned one, and I must say, they are a bit of a pain to throw.

CSX is posting signs like this at their switches that have derails associated with the switches. The sign is a reminder to the crews that there is a derail associated with the switch.
