Not that I got down to the Arlington yard much (and not until late in the game for B&O/Chessie operations for that matter), but it doesn't seem like this big road power ever really made it onto Staten Island proper - seems like they always handed the Staten Island traffic (inclusive of the barge borne traffic to the rest of NYC) off to the usual collection of strings of EMD SW switch engines and GP7/9s. Maybe I'm wrong - anyone know more about the operations around Cranford where the Staten Island Railroad line connection was?
