Nice catch! I didn't know the CN had run-thru on the "J."

Nice Catch! The CN has Trackage rights thought the J along with UP. I Have a shot with a J train heading South grabbing a track warrant, but this shot is much better. http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=179535

CN ususally doesn't run that far south on the Western Subdivision. This is one of the trains CN detoured off the ex-WC due to trackwork at B12, so this is a very rare occurance.

Saw this train early in the a.m. on Saturday sitting in Sutton Siding (near Sears Centre). It was still there when I passed over in the afternoon around 3:00.

A little info...Yes...most trains of CN heratige on the J take the connection at Munger to the north....back in the day WC and CN ran taconite trains down the J all the way to Kirk..so in otherwords its not common for late April to see a CN train on the J at West Chicago...

I'll concur with Ian's comment... the J also see's run-thru action by the UP and BNSF, actually, the western sub south (east) of Eola see's more UP/BNSF traffic than J traffic easily. And Joe... your first time is always the best...
