Actually, the "hottest" of the hot ones was the "199" train, later the Z-CHRI, the Z-CHIRIC, and today the Z-WSPNBY9 trains. Their average speed (given the extra distance to the northern California terminals instead of the southern California terminals) was always highest in the "post Super C" days.
