Why did they abandon the other tunnel? It looks to be wider, but maybe the angle is doing that. By the way, I LOVE your pictures of the railroads in Greece, I hope to go their someday, it's a beautiful country with great and unique lines! We have some Greek friends who have a home here and in Greece, I love to hear them talk about it!

Sliding rocks for many years was the reason that they abandon the old way. On the old bridge you can see the damages from the rocks.
