This is part of the contract between First Great Western and Bombardier Transportation, Ilford for overhauling and refurbishing High Speed Train Mk3 trailer coaches at Ilford. In this formation are some Midland Mainline HST coaches to be refurbished before transfer to FGW. The leading coach is a Mk2 used as a 'Barrier Vehicle' because (for our American friends) HST trailer coaches do not have side buffers.
