Great catch on the 827, I assumed that all the genesis units were repainted into Phase V. Cool shot!

Actually, there are a couple dozen P40BH units in dead storage at Bear, DE, and all of them are still wearing Phase IV paint. Problem is, they're in pretty sad shape with rust damage in some cases...so they're considerably less photo-worthy than this one.

Actually they may be running again soon. I know NJT has expressed interest in purchasing those units. We'll see.

To respond on your comment, yes NJT did purchase them they are used for the special ACES service. Atlantic City Express Service. I am not certain if 827 was one but I know that 808 was.... http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=269493&nseq=18

The 835 was rebuilt with P42DC specifications and returned to service in 2010 or 2011, and the 827's currently being rebuilt with P42DC specifications at this time.
