Thats the loco that fell into Washington Terminal with the wreck of the Federal. It is all welded back together as they had to cut it into pieces to dig it out. Good that it is still around.

If those are Erie E8's, Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania lied to us. They have an E8 on display and said it was the last one left in the WORLD!!!!!

If you were just asking an employee, most of them don't know anything. I heard that story about crashing through the Washington Terminal floor. The Presidential inauguration was in a couple days so they boarded up the floor and covered the locomotive up until the passenger surge was over. To what extent are they renovating the GG1 and the E8's?

That is an E7 at the RRMofPA and it is the only one left. These are E8's and there are quite a few of them left. The GG1 that fell into the basement at DC Union was the 4876, not the 4877.

Actually, the one involved in the washington wreck was sister unit 4876
