This engine was involved in a collision between a MOW crew and a log train on october 13 2006 north of Port-Cartier, QC Canada. One worker was killed in the wreck.

They tack welded plates over the window thats pretty interesting. I guess that was the only option.

I saw the damaged unit on 2/27/07 going through Lapeer, Mi on the Flint Subdivision behind two CN locomotives on a west bound freight at about 10:20 a.m. Where was the GE plant that it was destined for at because that line runs to Chicago?

I just noticed that around the sills and where there should be gaps in the plates, it looks like they put that foam that you put on roofs for weatherproofing, anyone pick up on that?

The unit never made it to G.E. rather sat at Galesburg for awhile before heading to Albia, IA (RELCO) for wreck repairs. The other 2 should already be in Quebec, getting ready for the boat ride to Port Cartier.
