Interesting operation ! Are those tires on the sides of the cars ? What are they used for ?

I suspect that the tires are there just in case the load that's dumped into it is off balance and fills one end. That way these cars won't flip, they'll tilt to one side which can be corrected by a second dump from the Front end loader.

The tires are for dumping at the dock. there is a rail that they can raise to spin the door open or closed, this allows for dumping the train while in motion.
