Too cool! Not too many people documented the last years of the Milwaukee's electric operations, and a lot of the memories were lost. This photo is a great treasure, and I hope to see more!

Things like this really make me wish I was alive in the 70's. Driving out to Pullman, there is a section of Milwaukee Road grade that is still intact, rails and all. Its amazing how great of a road the Milwaukee was. I really hope you have more of these shots, Steve!

Very nice picture Steve. I was at this same crossing in May 2003 shooting a Montana Western train. Little did I know that the Montana Western would disappear into the BNSF a month after I was there. Proof that today's 'normal' can be mere memories quickly. I found few traces of the Milwaukee in Deer Lodge (save the very nice local displays!). Thanks for bringing it back to life for me!
