Persistence pays off. Good idea here, and the end result worked out well.
I'd say you got it right. You should definitely get this in the NSC Calendar ...
Yep, it's a calendar shot, for sure!
An image that proves that branch line photography rocks! Unfortunately, this genre is highly neglected by photographers due to low train frequency. I tip my hat to you, Andrew!
I would be upset if that wasn't the cover or in the NS calender
I think pretty much everybody has a shot he's been trying to get right for a while, your time has come, finally. Great shot as usual Andrew.

Definately a PCA vote right there for persistence and a great shot!
Now if you could just get one of the horses to stand up on its back legs like the one on the loco......Seriously, great shot, Andrew!
Thoroughbreds on both sides of the fence. Nice shot Andrew. Gets my vote for sure.
Patience has its virtues, doesn't it? Excellent work once again, Andrew!
Not bad, rookie ;) You should consider this one for McMillan's calendar next year.
A real beauty and quite a payoff... glad you hung in there.
Very great shot Andrew, congrats on POTW
Spectacular photo ... proof that branch lines are the best :)
What a stunner!
Simply Awesome!

That is a great picture. It looks like there should be a walkway there instead of a RR track with those trees there and the nicely groomed grass. Very nice.
It's a rare moment when planning, happenstance and awesome photgraphic talent combine to render a gorgeous study like this. Your mastery of your camera is so evident. Well-done sir,well-done indeed!
I had to look thru some of your shots Andrew. I see why this one is your most popular. This is a nice layed out shot. This shot also screams out backyard local on it. Nice shot!

In October of last year I posted this: Not bad, rookie ;) You should consider this one for McMillan's calendar next year. Congrats on having it published!
