This is actually a F2A. Note the 3 side windows, build date of Oct, 1946 fits in the F2 build window perfectly. Also B&M had 18 of the F2A's, the most of any Railroad. Here's a list of just the "A" units. 4224A–4226A, 4250A–4264A. Oddly enough most historical documents have this unit sold to Schiavone for scrap 7/66, and this picture date and some others have shown it was still making money in '67 and beyond. Hopefully this can be relisted as an EMD F2A, there are no others on this site. Great pic !
