Nicely done. I love the way the red locos contrast with the rest of the scene.

Terrific shot! My dad and I spent about four hours looking for this thing, and never did find it! Again, great shot, with some sweet power!

Imagine the labor involved if a large number of men had to move an equal load on their backs or up and down the gorge with ropes and pulleys to acheive what this train is able to transport after the bridge and the rail and the train are made. This is how the standard of living is raised for all. My appreciation always..

Kevin EuDaly and I hiked in here back in '83. We had about 1000' of hiking left before the ascent up the mountain for the foto set up when a helper set glided by and stopped. We got a ride across the trestle thanks to the crew hospitality but they wanted to be sure we weren't afraid of heights going back since it was highly unlikely another helper set could accommodate that request. Height was not our concern. My wish was their timing. They could've saved us 1 hell of a hike. Anyway, this is a terrific locale. And if you happen to excavate a round canteen down in that ravine, it's Kevin's. We chose too small a tree branch diameter to hang it on in between sips. After 1 bounce on the ground from the fall it leapt to it's death never to be seen or drunk from again.....I guess.
