A man after my own taste. These were always my favorite switchers and the Southern's were tops, I grew up around the 1002 and 1007, both of which are preserved now. Very lovely find indeed.

Sid, I know this is a late posting but I agree with you. The EMD SW-1 is my favorite locomotive tied with the EMD BL2. I have had the honor and privilege of actually being able to operate an SW-1 for a local tourist railroad in Ohio. They are great little locomotives and fun as well as easy to operate. I now want to operate a BL2 sometime - that's a "bucket list" item now. Great photo by the way.
