I believe this was originally an NS unit (#11) with a low hood. High hood conversion after Southern takeover. Really enjoy your photographs.

this is a former Norfolk Southern GP18, the old shortline NS which was taken over by the Southern. These Norfolk Southern GP18's were rebuilt with highnoses following acquisition by the Southern.
