There is a possibility Metro North can buy these after the 2 year contract if I'm not mistaken. I don't think Metro North will won't thse beat up engines. Metro North is leasing a lot of engines because of diesel power shotage. Supposedly soon the Morristown & Erie's (Maine Eastern) F40PH's will be leased again to Metro North, why I don't know. Maybe they should have held on to those FL-9's a little bit longer???
