I'm probably a bit sentimental for my age (25), but it's always sad to see any locomotive in this state. Excellent photo though.

It's interesting that they renumbered this to 226... This is former AMTK 216, but renumbered due to a boxcar being numbered MMA 216. Having this renumbered didn't help much, because after 216 was scrapped, the real 226 showed up for the Poland program, thus MMA had another F40 #226. To distinguish the two, aside from rust spots, one can see 216's squared off fuel tank whereas the 226 had the rounded tank.
