Interesting. The railroad (Union Pacific) is now allowing tie down devices (used exclusively in the trucking industry)instead of the cabling and anchors that I had to use to secure a 65-ton to a flat car five years ago. Nice catch.

Kind of interesting where old Loco's end up. The engine on the first wagon, is actually ex Tranz Rail New Zealand, ex Queensland Rail Australia, and now bound for who knows where. The NZR ones were purchased from Queensland some years back to act as slave engines and boost power where required; by all accounts another failure. Short sighted Tranz Rail Management. Any idea where they are bound?
