Very nice shot. The surrounding landscape has an almost monochrome appearance in contrast to the vivid blue and yellow of the locomotives.

I believe this earlier shot of Cajon Pass was the place of many derailments as the 89' equipment started running, there was one derailment where the empties were at the head end with loaded ones behind and as the power was rounding the curve, the empties jumped the track following the locos ( I forgot the terminology of this was called), I believe UP and BNSF rebuilt the curve widened it and added another track.
