Thats an amazing shot. Its so surreal looking though all the New Orleans pics after Katrina. Just so weird.

"Surreal" is a very good word for it. Just the day before a Toyota Camry was driven into the water and the driver had to be removed through the window. The fresh watermark on the sidealk to the left was left by the wake of a military Hummer that had waded trough the flood.

Maybe it is a good thing that photos cannot convey the smell. It was like a combination of mold, wet dog and death. Unforgettable.
