Very interesting, a standard gage and narrow gage on the same turntable. The narrow gage never has to worry about where to park.

The Harzer Schmalspurbahnen are narrowgauge only. Only the tracks behind the tower are Deutsche Bahn standard gauge. Those rails outside the narrow gauge rails are guide rails only. The steam engines in the picture are all narrow gauge, (1 meter) track.

Well, I stand corrected. The rails ouside the narrow gauge really are standard gauge. I just returned from Wernigerode and I found out why there are 2 gauges on the turntable. Their diesel locomotives are standard gauge prior to being re-trucked inside the center stall of the locomotive shed. They enter as standard gauge and exit as narrow gauge. MB :)
