If I had the money, I would buy this locomtive from Larry's Truck & Electric and preserve it into running condition. Then I would repaint it into fresh BN/Metra paint and put it into a museum.

It's saddening to see the old girl rusting to death like this. I love how someone scribbled "E-9" right next to where "E-9" is stenciled. Hopefully she'll run again somewhere....

There's one in St. Louis with MARC Marks at the NMOT. Another there has been repainted in CB&Q colors.
