Now arriving at Wheeler. Polson Logging Co. #2 blows for the grade crossing just behind me, as she passes through the passenger station in the coastal resort town of Wheeler, Oregon. Unfortunately, for any potential passengers who might be looking for a train ride, Polson #2 is hauling a set of empty log cars. Each day, when our charter arrived in Wheeler to get water, our train sets definitely attracted a lot of attention among the locals and tourists alike. Folks with cell phone cameras were everywhere, as the last thing they expected during their visit was a steam engine show right in the center of their little town. The OCSR's tourist trains don't normally come this far north, and certainly never with freight cars.
