A westbound SP coal train out of the Intermountain West has D&RGW SD45 No. 5344 on the point as it glides downhill a little west of Shed 10. This part of the Donner Pass line used to sport two main tracks, but when this photo was taken, it only had one. Note that 5344 not only has a Gyralight on the nose, but has ditch lights to boot, giving motorists and pedestrians alike plenty of warning of the train's approach.
