Remarks & Notes |
The 4449 begins its long trip from Portland to New Orleans with the Worlds Fair Express. Train 9 showing in the train number indicator was the number of the southbound (railroad westbound) Shasta Daylight which ironically was normally diesel powered from its introduction. The original slide was a grab shot, dark and not well composed, but scanning and a trip through Photoshop helped make it a reasonably presentable image. I think this was taken around Cresent Lake, but not sure. Not much to go on in the image but if anyone can tell me more about the location it would be appreciated. |
