Remarks & Notes

Prior to entering service, the Trainbus is parked next to a Willamette Valley consist laying over at Eugene in fall 1981. The van was in Eugene for publicity photos. Trainbus was operated between Klamath Falls and Medford briefly in 1981-82 as a private, for-profit connection to the Coast Starlight. During this time period, the Starlight suffered from some horrific delays, and snowy roads over the Cascades added to the problem. The shuttle never caught on with passengers, and the service was discontinued in June 1982.
