I had set out with the full intention of capturing the intense Aurora Borealis that was ongoing during the short night chase of the New England Central train 323, however Mother Nature had other plans on this particular night, as dense rapidly forming fog filled in the valley just ahead of the train nearly everywhere I arrived. The 4-unit SD40M-2 NECR train 323-07 is seen crossing the White River at West Hartford, Vermont, as the fog was just starting to settle in fully, providing a neat effect as the flash did their job under the low ceiling.
