In the course of a rail journey to the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, freight trains on the Siliguri-Darjeeling route, which belongs to the World Cultural Heritage, were again driven after 25 years. Here the train, still in the urban area of Darjeeling, makes for the way to Ghoom. The night before, it had been raining fortunately, so the omnipresent haze had been at least partly expelled, and the view of the Kangchenjunga (8586m), the third-highest mountain on earth, had been released.
