| On the Table at Jim Thorpe. With the snow intensity starting to really pick up, the Reading & Northern 425 is turned on the Jim Thorpe Turntable. This structure is not motorized and is essentially an "Armstrong" turntable....except that no arms are strong enough to turn it. Instead, the railroad ties a chain to the table, and literally pulls it around with the power of a front-end loader. |
