Everett's No. 11 is pulling the 3-car 10:00 a.m. train to Brooks Mill. Four trains were scheduled, with all four sold out. No. 11 was built by Alco-Cooke in 1920 on speculation and sat on the shop floor until 1923, when it was purchased by a short line in Rhode Island, the Narragansett Pier RR. After working for the NPRR for 14 years, it was sold to the Bath & Hammondsport RR in New York, where it operated until 1949. After a succession of various owners, the engine was acquired by the Everett RR in 2006, which restored it to operation earlier this year.
