Steam Into History's No. 17, AKA the "York", sees its engineer doing the time honored "oiling around" of the locomotive while stopped at Hanover Junction Pennsylvania. This once common activity became unnecessary when the latest models of steam locomotives that had their lubricating systems. It was very interesting to see for I am used to crews of big steam like NKP No. 765 using Alemite guns. Because there are no Alemite grease fittings on the No. 17, instead there are oil cups at crucial bearing's that only hold about a 1/8 cup of oil. So at every stop the engineer has to utilize his badge of office the, oil can. The building in the background is the Hanover Junction station. Abraham Lincoln passed this very building to and from Gettysburg. His funeral train did the same. If you wish a time travel machine, Steam Into History is the place to be.
