Clinchfield GP7 901 sits outside the Erwin shops, awaiting its next duty. The unit was in the first batch of GP7's that the railroad purchased in 1950, the GP7's never met expectations mainly due to the lack of Dynamic brakes, which was a mistake the railroad did not make again. The unit was rebuilt into a GP11 by ICG and renumbered to 4603. 35mm slide from my collection, photo by Ken Marsh.
